A true story - Transformation & born of a blessed child

My mind is staring blank for a moment, I was thinking to myself, how do I write a beautiful true story of a family, particularly a guy, a client of mine, and a friend too. I decided to write this post, because I've never met anyone in my own country, who is a passionate and has strong belief about holistic ancestral living, as this guy. His name, is Hezren. I've wanted to write about what happened to him and his son, and it is time, that I share with whoever reading this post right at this moment.

 It started when I first met Hezren about two and half years ago. He was working in the same workplace as I am, and he came to me asking if he could join my program to improve his health and maybe lose some weight. When I initially meet him, I thought he was just one of those typical lazy Malaysian dude who just want to lose some weight and would end up quitting in few weeks time. He looked out of shape, mildly obese and totally sluggish. More like Malaysian version of a smaller size Nutty Professor. 

I didn't want to underestimate and accepted him to join my program. At that time, he has a girlfriend but yet married. Fast forward to about a year later, he still in my program, as time passed, he continue to impress me with his self-belief and passion about health and fitness. One fine day, he asked me a very important question, "If I would to get married and want to have a healthy baby, what would me and my wife do, in regards to diet, nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise?" He was asking for a genuine sincere guidance as both he and his soon-to-be wife is getting ready to conceive and follow whatever advise I give to them. Both of them listened with sincerity and below is what I advised them.

" In order for both male and female adults to conceive a healthy baby, a holistic approach towards the mind and body, hormonally, physiologically, and physically, for a recommended 9-12 months before conception. Meaning, both male and female must be reproductively, hormonally and physically healthy and ready before she gets pregnant. A period of at least 9 months to restore back the body's physiological functions to it's normal state for both soon-to-be mother and father. Most couples do not really think about what to do prior to pregnancy and this is a poor mistake. You have to fine tune back your circadian rhythm, eat organic whole foods and reduce as much toxins exposure as possible, manage your stress to its lowest level, ensure both work-in and workout exercises is balanced, and finally, always learn how to listen to your body. Optimum health, is not just a about diet and exercise, it's about holistic ancestral lifestyle which focus on drug-free approach. Both of you can be the role models for the people around you, influence and changing people life one at a time, starting with yourselves and your soon-to-be baby. Altering your metabolism and expressing your genes, your future baby will inherit whatever your body has transformed and improved."

From countless mentoring sessions, it turned into actual daily applications, and both of them got married at some point of time and they never turned back, until, Hezren's wife got pregnant. Getting pregnant is spot on as both reproductive systems are READY for what's coming next, a blessed baby. Many couples nowadays are suffering from fertility issues, conceiving is a problem for even younger adults in modern society. Hezren was about 96kg when the time he started my program, and today, he is 74 kg, 12% total body fat from 34%. From an estrogen-driven weak obese guy who suffers from asthma, he is now a much healthier, stronger and fitter person. His asthma condition has improved tremendously, and it is how he feels daily, which make body transformation and weight loss as secondary accomplishments. Most people became too obsessed with how they look from the outside, flat tummy, 6 pack abs and huge muscular arms, they forgotten what is even more important inside the body, from digestion to hormonal regulation, brain, cardiovascular to reproductive health, we have been strayed off course from how we suppose to live our life, ancestral living, hollistic approach, drug-free. We have been dependant on pharmaceutical drugs and conventional doctors, developing an addiction for processed foods and becoming slaves to the stressful jobs which most of us hate. 

Now, with the permission of Hezren, I will post his actual testimony and the story of his 10 months old son, Muhammad Al-Fatih, and I hope we will have more people who still believe in ancestral hollistic living, drug-free and eating organic whole foods. From an individual who influence his family and friends, can one person change the world? The answer is YES. As long as we believe in what we do will influence and help one person at a time, it all start with 'HEALING ONE CELL AT A TIME".

(My 1st Experience of giving birth and I Choose to Make It as Home Unassisted Birth)

I have no idea how birth could be and how it feel but My husband and I want it to be in drug free, vaccination free and don’t want to birth in stressful environment as normal people do. We search around and God leads us to Amani Birth Class by Maria Zain and HUBM group.

I was on my 38 weeks and start to feel the contraction. In my mind I was thinking “yeah, maybe this is the one that people talk about and it means birth is near and maybe anytime..”, people said, 1st child usually little bit earlier from EDD..we was waiting and waiting the time to hug little one from 38 week to 39 week to 40 week. ?????? Nothing happen!!.. Okey..what is going on now.. I know that im not going to be a pregnant women forever and I know the baby somehow will come out but it takes very long time already and it make me wonder. I found out that I was stuck in prodromal labor for 1 month..

It was 41 weeks and I am still pregnant. The mild surge and contractions are always there but the baby still doesn’t come out. I start to think around and ask my husband should we go to doc?.. My husband asked me whether the baby is moving and what my body is telling me.. I said “baby is ok, he is moving like usual and my body said everything is ok just waiting the real time”..Then my husband said “then why you want to see doctor? DON’T!! she/he will induce..That is what we want to prevent”.. So I just stay at home and wait.

Another 3 days to enter 42 week which is from what we learn and research, the duration of pregnancy is 42 weeks and it more accurate as it follow lunar month.

Thursday 21 march..As usual, I will ignore the mild contraction as too much false alarm given previously. Me and husband go to sleep as usual and I was wake up with quite strong contraction and fell like to pee at 2:30 AM Friday. I go to pee and the contraction is continuously there and I can’t sleep with that contraction but I still can bare with it.. Therefore I just ignore and go on with it.

6 : 30 am Friday 22 march, contraction  more and more strong where myself said..”this is it!!..this is the real one.. my husband start to count the timing  of contraction.. 7:16 am the contraction very strong and longer 2 – 3 mins apart with 2-3 min long and my husband just stay with me and give support. I was start to vocalizing. To the end of transition around 8 am, I was start to complain “why so long? I can’t bare it anymore..” my husband ask me to be patient and remind me to stay calm and do deep breathing..

8:27 am, the contraction almost 10 min long and I feel the urge to push.. I can’t talk anymore, I was tried hard as I can to deep breath and not pushing.. I was vocalizing very loud like whole neighborhood can hear me. After 12 contractions, I can feel the baby’s head starts to crowning at 9:18 am. That is the last time my husband record the timing as I become more aggressive and he has to hold me and help me to change the position and give me water. I was non-stop shouting and my husband keep on remind me to shout positive word BIRTH IS NOT PAIN!!!!” ..“recite some Doa..” and  I just change the shouting word to positive thing “BIRTH IS NOT PAIN!!!!” when feel the surge and it help.. LOL..

Time for the ring of fire…”AAAAA!!!! Ring Of FIRE!!!” that is what come out from my mouth. Me and my husband somehow have time to laugh because I was being so funny as I can’t stop shouthing and somehow have chance to feel the orgasm before that… :P hahaha..few surge baby’s head come out and the surge was idle few min and I able to take some rest with deep breathing... Last surge come and baby’s body come out and my husband catches it and straight away gives it to me for kangaroo care. The cord was very short, I move to the place where I can lean my back. Right after that, the placenta came out. Thank god, the placenta came out very fast.

That is the precious moment of our family and I would like to say thank you for the unassisted group for giving me such knowledge in order for me to avoid hospital, drugs and vaccine. Me and baby are drugs free and unvaccinated.

I start this program on 27th May 2011, exactly on my wife birthday, it almost 2 years plus now. I was 96kg before I start workout and 34% body fat. I don’t even care about health at all. Fast food is my staple food sleep late every day more than 2 o’clock. The worst thing is I have asthma and I’m still smoking!! Back to my story again, after 2 years plus joining this program I lost about 20kg and my current weight is 74kg and my body fat is 11.3%.The good news is my asthma is GONE. And finally I will continue with this holistic life style and pass this valuable knowledge to my next generation. Last word from me “Stop being an estrogen driven species!!” Go Holistic!!

Beer : the hidden shocking ingredients!

It is one of the most popular beverage in the world. It is a 'staple' drink in clubbing arena, and for some, it is a daily 'supplement', a replacement for drinking water. It's beer and everyone know this beverage from all over the world. The thing is, how much truth do you know about what's inside this drink? Do you even know the hidden ingredients of this alcoholic drink? 

I know for some people, they must be thinking, "Who cares?" For most people who is having beer or alcohol addiction, they just don't bother or give a rat ass if beer or alcohol is good or bad. But for the rest of the people who want to know the truth about the hidden ingredients in some of the popular beer products, this post is meant for you. You will find out that some of the information below, is way beyond shocking, and consumption of beer might not be as enjoyable and addictive as it used to be, prior to today.

First of all, would drinking a glass of beer considered acceptable? Well, how many people end up only drinking a glass of beer in any occasion? When one goes clubbing or partying with friends, one glass of beer would seem virtually impossible, unless you have the same alcohol sensitivity as I do, a few gulps will give me the buzz and impair my center sensory controls combined with slow brain functions.

It only take 60 seconds for alcohol to cross the blood brain barrier. Wonder why some of you feel the BUZZ so quickly after gulping down that glass of beer or alcoholic beverage? Alcohol is metabolize differently compared to other foods, and guess what, only the liver can metabolize this poison. One of the reason why combining alcohol with meal is one of the worst enemy for weight management, due to the liver will metabolize the poison first, then the foods you consumed. Apart from increased body fat accumulation, liver also deposits significant amount of triglycerides and tendency of developing alcoholic hepatitis of the liver. The next progression of this condition would be cirrhosis or liver cancer. There are many people currently suffering from non alcoholic hepatitis of the liver, resulting in liver damage and dysfunction, without consumption of alcohol. It's the sugar, particularly fructose. Apart from fluoride and pesticides levels in beer products, there are shocking amount of nasty ingredients added in beer, including GMOs. For instance, Miller Coors beer products admitted their use of GMOs corn and its derivatives. GUINNESS beer products have high fructose corn syrup and even fish bladder (a gelatin like substance). CORONA beers also contain propylene glycol, HFCS and GMO corn, and Budweiser products primarily contain GMO rice and corn too. Of course, there rest of the beer products most likely have hidden nasty ingredients, and the only way to consume a less damaging safer beer product, is Organic beer. But, again, buying organic doesn't give you the license to get yourself drunk silly and over do it on regular basis. Coffee : Is it good or bad?

Are you a coffee addict or drinker? Do you heavily depend on caffeine to get your day going? Do you think coffee is good and can your body handle it? Today, I'm going to discuss about the pro's and con's of coffee, which individual is suitable to consume this popular beverage, as most of us are living with caffeine addiction/dependency. The roller coaster cycle, which is experienced by vast majority of us, is growing.

In my workplace, I noticed a large number of people drinking coffee in the morning, primarily, throughout the day. Energy levels are largely dependant on caffeine from this beverage, for some people, they need the 'physiologically and mental' booster. Sugars, wheat and caffeine, all three addictive substances which may turn out to be a long term addictive-combo, can cause a whole list of health problems to most of us. It is a common combination of poor breakfast for majority of people I know. Some people only grab a cup of coffee to start off their morning, some needed 2 cups to kick start their sympathetic nervous system in A.M. 

Many of us, do not know how coffee affects the body the moment it is ingested. The caffeine triggers the brain to stimulate CRH to pituitary gland and that cascade down to adrenals to pour out glucocorticoid hormones which includes adrenalin and cortisol. It gives you the energy rush and mental focus and nervous system activation which may vary from different individuals. Whoever suffering from adrenal fatigue or disorder, may feel the need to ingest more then just one cup of coffee to stimulate these stress hormones to keep up their concentration and energy levels throughout the day. That's the reason why you can cope with just one cup of coffee 5-8 years ago, but you then need 3-5 cups during daytime to cope with the stressful lifestyle in present day.

Have you ever wonder why there are contradicting studies about coffee? Some studies suggest coffee is good for health and some studies showing conflicting results. For coffee addicts or even general population, it may be quite confusing for them. The problem amongst the studies conducted on coffee, researchers do not really care or know about the quality or types of coffee beans which involved in the study that is conducted. The studies which showed positive results and benefits to health, most probably was conducted with high quality coffee beans with low level of mycotoxins. Likewise, studies which showed negative impact to our health, may be done with low quality coffee beans with higher levels of mold and resulting in dangerous levels of mycotoxins.

There are other plants which are contaminated by naturally occuring mold, thus producing mycotoxins. Mainly peanuts, corn, grains, beans (which includes coffee). One of the reason why it is not advisable to consume 'decaf' coffee, as caffeine acts as defence-mechanism which has anti-insects and anti-fungal properties. It fend off mold and other organisms from growing on the beans. When you remove the caffeine from the beans, mold will start growing. If you think that some decaf coffee products are better because they are more expensive, that may not be the case. 

The goal here is to look for non-commercial coffee products, preferably small package and organic. Else, look for mycotoxins free coffee beans. The coffee products sold in supermarkets are mostly contaminated with mold and high in mycotoxins. Commercial coffee products usually allowed low quality processing techniques, thus increase the amount of mycotoxins. Apart from that, commercial coffee beans or products are loaded with pesticides and other similiar chemicals which are endocrine disruptors.

Before I sign off this post, I would like to share with you an awesome recipe to try (if you do not have adrenals dsyfunctions or diagnosed with adrenal fatigue). A brain boosting, energy loaded, cravings-suppressed coffee-based recipe. It's coffee mixed with organic butter and coconut oil. You may add one raw organic free range egg yolk if you prefer. Try it and see if there is any difference compared to your typical coffee serving.



Benefits of coffee:
- Contains anti-oxidants quinines which may reduce free radicals and assist in slowing down aging
- Can be used as stimulant for pre-workout session and boost athletic performance
- Caffeine may help stimulate the brain and nervous system, but at the same time, fatigue the adrenals. People with stressful lifestyle or diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, is not encourage to consume coffee on regular or daily basis.



Downside of coffee: (some of the negative results could be derived from low quality coffee beans and roasting process, primarily contains high levels of mycotoxins)
- Contains high levels of pesticides, herbicides and chemicals found in commercial coffee products.
- Caffeine, a nerve toxin, could accelerate dehydration
- Cause other symptoms such as palpitation, nervousness, jittery tension, etc
- Most commercial coffee products are contaminated with mold and high levels of mycotoxins
- Trigonelline found in approximately 1% of dry matter of roasted beans, accelerate MCF-7 cell growth (human breast cancer cells) even at low concentration?
- People who suffers from GI disorders such as gastritis, acid reflux, ulcers are not advised to consume coffee. It is known to have cause problems on the lining of the stomach and lower esophageal sphincter.
- Coffee has very high acid levels, increasing the acidity in the body.
- Contains Acrylamide, a potential carcinogenic (cancer causing) substance, forms when coffee is roasted at high temperature.
- Interfere with GABA metabolism, one of the most important neurotransmitters in the body.


HIGH FAT ORGANIC COFFEE:

- 1-3 tea spoons of organic coffee beans/ground espresso. You may use instant organic coffee if you are in hurry.  Brew coffee with hot water as usual. Make quarter (not more then half cup) of prepared coffee. The coffee or espresso should NOT be full cup and watery form. It should be thick and creamy. 
- Add 1-3 teaspoons of organic butter into brewed coffee.
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of organic coconut oil into coffee. Stir coffee thoroughly, it is now ready to drink.

How is your bowel movement? Stool chart analysis

Has any of you done a 'workout' in the toilet before? No, I don't mean actual exercise in the toilet, that would be silly and dangerous. What I meant, was difficulty trying to get the 'poop' out from your system, face turned blue, using forceful pushing movements to unload the 'waste-product' which has been 'fermented' in your gut for days, if not weeks. The pooping dilemma, or what we often call it as constipation.

Most of us often think that as long as we poop daily, we generally have a healthy digestion and elimination process in the gut. Is that right? Let's take a quick look at stool chart diagram later on to get better acquainted with your own poop. Most people do not dare to look at their own poop during elimination process in the toilet. Some even think that frequent diarheaa or constipation is common and nothing to worry about as long as they are still breathing and alive. As long as laxatives and 'medication' from doctor come into place, things should be under control right? Is that so?

It's common, that easily 4 out of 5 people are suffering from constipation, or often juggles between diarheaa too. This goes back and forth, compact stools and watery elimination. From real life experiences dealing with clients and friends, constipation has become a common problem for the 'stressful' population. From digestive stress, to mental and emotional stressors, one of the main culprit is poor diet and bacteria overgrowth. Although chronic stress from work and other factors, in addition of late night sleep, will further aggravate the problem, as a result of elevated cortisol level.

People have forgotten the importance of gut flora, and how important diet role is to our gut health. Digestion, assimilation and elimination are three very important processes to keep our immune system strong and healthy, and to ensure how well we stay nourished. I always tell people, "If your digestion is poor, you will never be healthy". No matter what diet or foods you eat, it could be 100% organic whole foods but if your digestion is not functioning properly due to some hidden stressors or underlying cause, the assimilation of nutrients will suffer too. Thus, elimination process will no doubt be affected and your stool will tell you how well your digestion is and how poor your diet has been lately, from the smell, texture and also the ease of your pooping process in the toilet.

Now, without further delay, I hereby present to you, the Bristol Stool Chart. If you often having stool discharge of no.1 and 2, you are suffering from constipation. If you stool texture looks like no.4, that would be the ideal, and no.3 is acceptable, but no.5 in the chart is on par and partially acceptable. If your stool looks like no.6 and 7, that would be under 'diarheaa' category, which is poor form of elimination. Meanwhile, I list down below the check-list to determine if your 'elimination by-product' is healthy. Look at your poop, know your digestion better. Happy pooping!








Pooping check-list

- Consistent regular poop no.4. Shouldn't be having 'nuts' like or watery discharge for your elimination routine.

- Your should poop everyday, and having a satisfying 'unloading' session would be ideal. Visitation of toilets of more then once a day (2-3 times) would be even better.

- One big push, one complete poop. No face-turned blue long session of forceful attempts, it should be easy and fast.

- A big smile on your face. You will know if you just had a happy pooping session without any nasty foul smell and ideal texture.

Body Lotion: A quick review

Recently, I was been told to do a favour for a friend, to review one of her skin care products. She said it is a good brand, supposedly a trusted brand too. I told her I will blog about that product, with an honest blunt review. I know virtually every woman on this planet can't live without cosmetics or skin care products, for the name of beauty, I hereby provide you my brief honest point of view for this particular product. Question is, does your investment on that skin care product worth the money? Does skin breakouts or poor skin complexion due to deficiency in applying skin care products? Or could it be due to toxic gut or congested detoxification organs? 

Our precious skin is the body's largest detoxification organ. How many of us believe in beauty from inside out, rather then constantly investing on toxic skin care products? If any of you seriously need to apply whichever skin care product on your body, rule of the thumb, ingredients list MUST be no more then five in total, and does not contain harmful chemicals as below. My advise, save the list of these chemicals into your phone, or print out in a piece of small paper, bring it with you whenever do go, especially during shopping. 



Chemicals to avoid in skin care products/cosmetics:

- SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate)
- Toulene
Paraffin, Mineral Oil/Petrolatum (crude oil known to clog pores!)
- Tetrasodium EDTA/Disodium EDTA
- Propylene Glycol/Butylene Glycol (petroleum plastics, could damage the liver, kidneys and suppress nervous system)
- Any hydrogenated oils (those are trans fat!)
- Any soybean based ingredients (estrogen mimickers)
- Any paraben derivatives (E.g. methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, etc)
- sodium benzoate
- Oxybenzone/Avobenzone (endocrine disruptor and damage DNA)
- FD&C Color (Synthetic dyes from coal tar, contain heavy metal salts).
- Phthalates (could damage liver, kidneys, decrease sperm count, etc)

Soy-Free Challenge - Clear your fridge and kitchen! : 2014 resolution

We've got more fertility problems in the history of mankind then ever before. Couples unable to conceive, male adults suffering from erectile dsyfunction, 'man-boobs' are noticeable in male adults much more then possibly 5-8 years ago. Majority of women are estrogen dominance, fat loss seemed like a mountain to climb and infants now have estrogen levels as high as their mothers by age of 2-3 years old. Women suffers from hypothyroidism, are often feeling cold easily, maintaining ideal weight is such a headache. What is happening amongst us? What do all of these symptoms have in common? Could it be the 'soy-connection'?

Soy, arguably America's favourite 'health' food, is widely consumed by most countries too. From soymilk to tofu, edamame to soy protein powders, as well as soybean oil used widely in cooking by most of us. In America, close to 95% of soy grown is GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). But, in other countries such as Australia, Japan and also countries in European Union, GMOs foods/crops is banned. 

As I've written quite a number of posts about soybean previously, I will not go into details about the dark side of the so called 'health' food. For years, we have perceived soy as healthy, an ideal source of protein and can lower cholesterol. The soybean industry and medias also claimed that this food could protects against cancer and reduce menopausal symptoms. Since then, we have been hardwired to think that consuming soybean based products is healthy and beneficial to our body. Men have slowly transform from masculine strong and lean, to a feminized weak estrogen-driven species. What a shame really. 

From an elderly 65 years old fertility symptom, we are now witnessing more male adults as young as 30's, suffering from this dilemma. I'm talking about ED and sexual performance issue. Most guys don't want to talk about it as it may be embarrassing for most men, especially the ones with EGO as huge as the moon. For women, occurrences of hormonal imbalance and fertility disorders have increased since soy is regarded as superstar in health food.  

I remember one of my female friend asked me why does her infant son has reduced penis size? Then I asked her " Did you consume a lot of soybean based foods when you were pregnant?" She said 'YES!" She were consuming tofu and soymilk daily during the whole of 8-9 months. I wouldn't be surprise if her infant son has estrogen levels as high as her now. Large number of parents are unconsciously destroying their babies and kids reproductive organs and hormonal pathways with this food. Sad really.

In this post, I would like you to take this soy-free challenge. Starting today, go back home, browse and search all your kitchen food and beverage products, and that includes your refrigerator too. The challenge, is 90 days soy-free, you can make this as one of your new year's resolution. Try it, take this challenge and observe some of your health symptoms after 90 days. Meanwhile, below are the food products you should be looking for in your kitchen and fridge.  


What to look for in our kitchen and fridge? - Thrash it!

- Tofu (including organic)
- Edamame (beans)
- Soymilk (of any beverage products, including organic)
- Packaged or beverage products which contains soy as ingredient
- Soy Protein Isolate (or protein supplements which contains soy)
- Soy infant milk formula (this is perhaps one of the worst food one can feed to an infant or baby)
- Soybean oil or any commercial vegetables including olive oils.
- Any junk food products which contains soy.
- Soy sauce
- Chilli or tomato sauce products(which contain soy)


No soy while dining out! 

Additionally, within the 90 days challenge, no soybean based foods or beverage while dining out. Clearing out the kitchen doesn't permits you to feast on processed soy foods. Make sense? Please ensure no commercial soy sauce in food outlets too.

Fortunately, if you seriously crave and has the need to consume soy within the 90 days challenge period, below are the fermented soy food list which are reasonably acceptable, with small amounts.

- Miso
