Coconut: Superfood

Has anyone wonder how coconut can benefit our body? How about sources saying that coconut can raise high cholesterol and causes heart disease? What is the actual truth about coconut? Why do I classify coconut as superfood? Today, I would like to share with you about the benefits of coconut to our health and body. 

Coconut is widely consumed by many countries including Phillipines and Hawaiian Islands. The Phillipines has the largest coconut production of any nation in the world. Coconuts are now found all over the tropics which includes Malaysia as well. Coconut palms are prehistoric plants that are distantly related to grasses. Because they are a grass, coconut palms are extremely salt-tolerant and can grow right next to the ocean. Also like grasses, coconut palms can absorb nearly every mineral known to be useful in human nutrition. Coconuts can survive many months floating at sea. 

Coconut are one of the greatest gifts on this planet. No matter where you are, what you have done, how much you have mistreated your body, fresh young coconut flesh, coconut water or coconut oil can save your life! No? Keep on reading folks. 

Coconut water is one of the highest sources of electrolytes found in nature. Some of my friends tell me that sports drinks are good sources of electrolytes replenishment during exercise or playing sports. Well, I disagree. I'll talk about that in a different post some other time. 

Coconuts are the most health enhancing in their early stage of growth. They contain pure saturated fat that has remarkable ability to rejuvenate age-related oxidative tissue damage, improve the functioning of the nervous system, increase breast milk production and restore male sexual fluids. Let's talk about coconut oil. What do you think of coconut oil? Is bad or good? Truly raw coconut oil is produced when the coconut copra is low-temperature dried, then cold-pressed. The oil is released in the press and the bottled. The content of coconut oil is mainly 92% saturated fat, and approximately 50% is lauric acid. Lauric acid is only found in mother's milk and plays a crucial role in building and maintain a healthy immune system.
