Let's Throw a Party!

Let's throw a party. How does that sound? Anyone care to join me? Who loves to party? Seem like most of us enjoy occasional party, dinner party, birthday party, Christmas party, etc. Today, I would like to write about the adverse effects of a 'party event' to whoever join at anytime, anywhere.

Let's assume you prepare a dinner party. You invite some of your friends and relatives to a meal you will prepare in your kitchen. How about roast beef, pan-fried potatoes, bread with butter or margarine, ice-cream, soft drinks, tea and something a bit more 'healthier', spinach with salad. Let's just put aside orders from McDonalds, KFC, Pizza or any outside food we could think of for the moment. Let's just say, a preparation of so called 'home cooked dinner party'. Sounds healthier right? We'll see.

At the surface level the meal you prepare will look and smell and taste wonderfully appetizing and nutritious. But let's say you are also a stranger in a strange land and you are curious to prove beneath these surface appearances, all the way down to the molecular level. You don't want to be neurotic about it, you just want to be informed. So, you begin to ask some questions, do some research, and here is you you find.

Just assume that it is not me, who is spoon feeding you these information. Okay. Lets start with the potatoes. As you fry them in a Teflon skiller, you release molecules of the indestructible Teflon chemicals into your food and into the air. The potatoes themselves are already contaminated with a half dozen of pesticide residues that your vigorous washing fails to remove because the pesticides penetrated into the potatoes' skin. So, now you have heated the Teflon and pesticide molecules into a frenzied mixture that no one may have ever studied for impacts on human health.

You then make the tea using tap water, or maybe a bit better, via filtered system. I'm sure most of you heard of chlorine and fluoride? How about perchlorate? It is a chemical used in rocket fuel, flares and airbags, that is now commonly shows up in tap water. I've posted on perchlorate in my earlier post and you guys can read it for more understanding, or you could Google it up anytime.

Then, you may have guests who think that 'zero calories, zero sugar' artificial sweetener will benefit their health, and they add this synthetic chemical containing aspartame to their tea. Congratulations. You have just prepare a recipe for brain damage and Alzheimer's disease and also other life threatening diseases. I'm sure whoever often uses artificial sweeteners will be familiar with EQUAL and NUTRASWEET.

Now, let's move on to a supposedly 'healthier' food preparation. Both the spinach and the lettuce you use for the salad contain traces of perchlorate, and the spinach hides traces of up to ten separate pesticides, if we are to believe food testing surveys. The salad dressing everyone uses contain a collection of chemicals that acts as preservatives, colorings, flavorings and possibly artificial sweeteners.

You beef, which everyone feasts on, was raised in a gigantic factory farm feedlot where thousands of cows are crowded together, and fed growth hormones, appetite stimulants, antibiotics and most likely tranquilizers. Their feed was intentionally laced with other synthetic chemicals and unintentionally contaminated with residues of pesticides and herbicides. These animals have passed traces of their body burden on to you!

How about the bread? Most people think bread as only bread. Sounds healthy and not much impact on our health isn't it? Let's see. The bread you serve, most likely contains flour that the manufacturer has aged using oxidizing agents such as chlorine. The chlorine was blasted onto the flour during the final stage of production, and some chlorine molecules survived the bread's baking process. Bear in mind, many European countries banned the use of chlorine as an oxidizing agent for bread, and Germany is one of them.

The margarine  your guests spread on this bread, contains trans fat which is a recipe for heart disease. A byproduct of the hydrogenation process for margarine is a residue of toxic metals, such as nickel and aluminum, left behind in the finished product. You can visualize the margarine's effect on your body simply by leaving a cube of it sitting out on a counter for several months. It will not be touch by mold, insects or even rodents. Why? I think you know the answer. If you then use butter instead if margarine, you might think it is a healthier option. Right? Wrong! Unless if you are consuming organic grass fed butter, you eat one of the most contaminated food items of all. Commercial butter sold in typical supermarkets, are derived from sick cows which offload some of their own body burdens of toxins into their milk. Still dare to eat commercial butter?

Let's bring out the ice cream. Most of you loves ice cream right? Heard of dioxin? No? I thought so. It is a bioaccumulative chemical that is sometimes found in ice cream. Next, soft drinks. I don't think I need to give introduction for this type of beverage, as I've posted in details the adverse effects to our body. If in any chance you may opt for chicken instead of beef, you have done little to lessen the hazards. Commercial chickens are loaded with antibiotics, synthetic hormones, pesticides and even sulfa drugs and arsenic compounds.

Guys, by the end of the dinner party, you have ingested huge loads of toxins and chemicals in your body, only in one single meal. I hope after reading this post, you are educated further about toxins and chemicals in food and beverages. Until now, I have yet to attend any dinner party which is organically cooked and prepared.
