Brain fuel : Seratonin

I wrote about neurotransmitters few months back, when I started blogging this site. If any of you read my posts on brain chemicals, you will know about seratonin, a powerful important neurotransmitter for our brain. Majority of us are deficient in seratonin, we see people having mood swings, tend to get agitated or irritated easily, low in confidence, low self esteem, negative or pessimistic mindset, worried to much, and someone easily get pissed off as well.

People who is violent, are severely deficient in seratonin. Criminals usually have very low seratonin and we are talking about violent criminals here, such as rapists, murderer, bank robbers, etc. How do we get low seratonin? Go read my earlier posts on brain chemicals, but I can tell you that high consumption of carbohydrates actually decrease the production and conversion of L-Tryptophan to seratonin in the brain. Meanwhile, recently I bought this amino acid from overseas (see attached pic), and it is not sold in Malaysia.

Seratonin, is the most important 'feel good' chemical in our brain. Due to stress, diet and among other factors, we are depleted of this brain fuel which is much needed for our overall 'shinny day' mood. People who is depressed or having anxiety, desperately needs this amino acid. Bear in mind, this is not a drug, this is a natural amino acid derived from protein. It is so many times much more powerful then anti-depressant drugs.

So people, if you want to feel good and be happy and be able to improve your sleep quality, ensure your diet contains high in L-Tryptophan. How do you get L-Tryptophan? Again, read my earlier posts on brain chemicals. Besides, your sleeping hormone melatonin is produced from this amino acid as well. Now you know how important this neurotransmitter is to the body.
