It's 3am, why aren't you sleeping?

This is an addition of my earlier post which regards to sleep. So, anyone having problem trying to fall asleep or getting a quality uninterrupted sleep? Why are some people still awake at 2 or 3 am? Do you feel tired when wakes up in the morning? Do you feel tired and having difficult time staying awake during day time? If yes, then stop playing video games and surfing the internet so late at night!

Guys, ladies, it's time to go to bed. Honestly, do you know why you yawn during evening especially night time? Your sleeping hormone kicks in, and your body is telling you to go to bed early. Yes, cut short the TV session, video games and computer usage. By staying up late at night, you are causing hormone imbalance by secreting more cortisol and less melatonin. This will further wreck damage to your circadian rhythm and normal sleep cycle.

When you don't get enough and proper sleep, you are putting yourself, your family members and others at risk. You will grow old faster, accelerate aging, worn out, tired and decrease in vitality. You will get brain fog the next morning when you are at work, unable to concentrate and focus, as well as decreased performance. Then, with inadequate sleep, most people turns to stimulants such as caffeine, sugar, alcohol, nicotine and energy drinks. These substances will make your overall health to deplete further.

One who often get irregular and insufficient sleep, tend to suffer from moodiness, depression, irritation and low in energy levels. So people, if you are missing this piece of pie, you will not achieve wellness and optimum health. For bodybuilders and sports enthusiasts, recovery plays an important role in growing and maintaining muscle mass, production of growth hormones only produce when we are well asleep. It doesn't matter if you are drinking world's best protein shakes and consuming tons of supplements and ignoring your diet and sleeping cycle, you are not getting any results or health!

So folks, get your beauty sleep and follow my guidelines on how to ensure quality sleep (earlier post).    Sweetdream everyone. Sleep tight.
